I have a Mac (10.8) with Parallels and Windows 7, MS office 2007 (on the Windows side) and the publisher works perfectly fine. As a remedy, I simply turn off the backup then there's no problem at all. I would recommend Parallels any day over doing a separate partition for Win 7.what would be the point? I have Win 8 on my system not Win 7, and to date the only issue I've had is when my Time Capsule runs in the background it can slow down the VM.the only time this can be a problem is if I'm running a CPU intensive program. The workflow would be much better AND you could customize the Win 7 with whatever RAM and HD space you wanted. Of course, if you go with Parallels, you could have many Windows environments.Linux if you wanted and or Lion. In addition, it would be slower than the Virtual Machine environment of Parallels.
